Thank you for taking the time to visit Alanbrooke Academy’s website. We hope it gives you a good introduction to our school and answers any questions you might have. However, we strongly encourage parents and carers to visit the school in person to get a real flavour of school life.

Alanbrooke Academy is a new school created by Elevate Multi Academy Trust in September 2021. All references to the previous Alanbrooke School are not related to Alanbrooke Academy. We are proud to be part of Elevate Multi Academy Trust which is a large, successful Trust with schools across North Yorkshire.

Alanbrooke Academy is led by myself, an experienced Executive Head teacher and Executive Deputy, Mrs Long. Both myself and Mrs Long also lead Sowerby Primary Academy in Thirsk, which is a wonderful school with a long-standing reputation in the community.

Since becoming Alanbrooke Academy, the school has been transformed. We have an all new teaching and leadership team dedicated to our vision that no child is left behind. We are passionately committed to providing an exceptional education for all.

We have invested significantly in our learning environments so that our pupils have a calm and inspiring place to thrive. There have also been significant investments in high quality texts and curriculum resources. We have worked extremely hard on strengthening our curriculum and are in the process of implementing a new curriculum that has been co-created with the Elevate Trust.
